  • RHODIUM PLATING

Rhodium is a special and rare metal within the platinum family of metals which we use to plate many of our accessories and jewellery.  It is more expensive than gold on the precious metal market and it started to be used in silverware and jewellery making in the early 1900's as it created a beautiful, tarnish resistant finish.  It's colour tone is a slightly darker, giving a more antique effect than silver, making it perfect for accessories designed with vintage influences.

    ZIRCONIA CRYSTAL

Zirconia Crystal  (also in this crystal group lie Diamonds)  Zirconia Crystal although man made is classed as a crystal - the high end grade we use is made up of Zirconium dioxide with yttriume, magnesium and calcium which like diamonds has a hardness rating stronger than Swarovski crystals and a brilliance and perfect clarity without inclusions. This is the closest you can get to real diamonds as because they are more durable than crystal they can be cut with more facets for more sparkle just like a diamond. They are often called "Gentle Diamonds" due to their ethical production compared with mined diamonds.
